Objectiu de la convocatòria
FARA supports research through funding competitive grants across the spectrum from basic research through drug development and clinical research programs in Friedreich's Ataxia (FA).

The call is open all year round. There are two deadlines for the submission of Letters of Intent: Feb 15 and Aug 15.
Requisits
  • Applications are accepted from public and private nonprofit universities, colleges, hospitals, laboratories, government agencies, biotechnology/pharmaceutical companies, and other for-profit entities.
  • There are no citizenship requirements.
  • Junior investigators are particularly encouraged to apply.

    $125,000 per year
    Durada
    One or two years.
    Documentació
    The Letter of Intent must include two PDF files.
  • The first PDF should describe: - The rationale for the proposed project and how the research fits within FARA's grant program priorities (up to 1 page)
    - The hypothesis to be tested and the specific aims (up to 1 page)
    - Key preliminary data of direct relevance to FA (no more than 2 pages)

    - Estimate of budget request with justification
  • The second PDF should provide the CV/biosketch for Principal Investigator (including contact information) and all other key personnel.
