Objectiu de la convocatòria
The Advanced Clinical Research Award (ACRA) is a topic-specific competition designed to support physician-scientists committed to performing original, clinical cancer research in an area not currently funded. The research study must be conducted at an academic medical research institution.
Característiques principals
All Conquer Cancer research grant applications are reviewed and evaluated by an independent Grants Selection Committee using consistent criteria across all applications for each grant or award type. The Committee scores and ranks the applications, and the highest-scoring applications are funded. The research proposed for this funding must be translational and/or clinical in nature.

Requisits
Applicant must meet the following criteria:
  • Be a physician (MD, DO, or international equivalent).
  • Have completed productive post-doctoral/post fellowship research and demonstrated the ability to undertake independent investigator-initiated clinical research in breast cancer.
  • At mid-career level, normally between five to ten years from the first, full-time, primary faculty appointment in a clinical department at an academic medical institution by the application deadline.
  • Be an ASCO member or have submitted a membership application with the grant application.
  • Be able to commit 75 percent of full-time effort in research (applies to total research, not just the proposed project) during the award period.
  • Eligible applicants are allowed to hold only one active grant from Conquer Cancer at a time.
  • There are no citizenship or geographic requirements.

    The ACRA contains two phases:
  • Letter of Intent (LOI), by November 14, 2025
  • Full Application, by January 16, 2026. Completion of the Full Application is by invitation-only based on the submitted LOI.

    All applications must be submitted in accordance with the requirements and instructions of the Request for Proposals (RFP).
    All application materials must be in English and must be submitted online through the ASCO and Conquer Cancer application portal: https://asco.smapply.org/acc/l/?next=/acc/sr/

    AVÍS IMPORTANT
    Applicants are encouraged to start their application early due to the complexity of the online application process. The LOI must be submitted by 11:59 PM ET on November 13, 2025.
