Objectiu de la convocatòria
The joint fellowship between ECTRIMS and the European Magnetic Resonance Imaging in MS network (MAGNIMS) aims to foster the development of young researchers in the field of MS by supporting their work on scientific projects at host institutions within the MAGNIMS network and others throughout Europe.

Requisits
Applicant Eligibility
Must hold or be completing an MD, PhD, ScD, or equivalent before the fellowship start.
Suggested maximum of 5 years postdoctoral experience; preferably under 40 (exceptions possible).
Must not have previously worked with the proposed mentor or host institution.
Open to all nationalities, but research must be conducted in a European lab or clinic.
Only one application per annual cycle, across all categories.
Research Plan and Mentor
Must propose a clear basic, clinical, or applied research project related to MS and/or associated diseases, with an emphasis on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in MS or related research fields, developed with a mentor at the host institution.
Each mentor may support only one applicant per cycle.
Fellowship Location
Must take place at a European research lab or clinic focused on MS.
European citizens must conduct the fellowship in a different European country than their own.
All applicants must change both institution and country from their current affiliation, unless justified.
A host institution may receive up to 3 fellowships per cycle (only 1 per category).
Host institutions should preferably belong to the MAGNIMS network; otherwise, approval from the MAGNIMS Steering Committee is required.

Documents submitted by the applicant via the online system (PDF format)
Completed online application form.
Abbreviated CV and bibliography using ECTRIMS’s “Biographical Sketch” form.
Career plans (max 1 page).
Research project description (max 2 pages, including figures/tables/references).
Research project summary/abstract (max 250 words).
Proof of knowledge of the local language at the training venue (e.g., certificate or confirmation letter).
Supporting documents sent directly to ECTRIMS Secretariat ([email protected]) by others (PDF format)
Mentor: Letter of endorsement highlighting interactions and research plan, plus abbreviated CV and bibliography (using the “Biographical Sketch” form, max 5 pages).
Host Institution: Letter of support from department chair or official confirming acceptance of the fellow; institutional certification agreeing to ECTRIMS payment rules.
Referees: Three letters of reference from professionals familiar with the applicant, including one from the proposed mentor. A letter from the home institution confirming a position upon fellowship completion is recommended if relevant.
