Objectiu de la convocatòria
The Path to a Cure (PTAC) program supports research that will accelerate the discovery and development of therapies to restore cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) function in all patients with cystic fibrosis.
Característiques principals
Projects should focus on foundational concepts, strategies, novel tools and methods, and/or technologies that have the potential to inform or ultimately translate into novel therapies.

In addition to the core PTAC awards, there are related programs under "Path to a Cure", such as:
  • Path to a Cure Pioneer Award
  • Path to a Cure Collaborative Research Grant
  • Requisits
  • U.S. residents and international applicants are welcome, though non-U.S. applicants must provide additional information in compliance with the USA Patriot Act and U.S. anti-terrorism financing regulations.
  • Applicants must be independent investigators.
  • Each laboratory may submit only one application per cycle.
  • Applicants can submit only one research grant and one pilot/feasibility award in a 12-month period, with each project being distinct.
