Objectiu de la convocatòria
The GWIS National Fellowship Program promotes knowledge in the natural and social sciences and supports women’s academic and professional careers in these fields. In line with their mission to empower a community representative of all women in STEM, Life Sciences, and related Social Science fields, GWIS seeks to recognize merit-based scholarship and sustained personal engagement with underrepresented communities.

Requisits
  • Eligible applicants must hold a degree from a recognized institution and conduct hypothesis-driven research at any U.S. or international institution. Any person who identifies as a woman in science, irrespective of race, religion, nationality, creed, national origin, sexual orientation, or age is welcome to apply.
  • Career level will be of the candidate will be taken into consideration.
  • GWIS membership is required by the application deadline. Please note that membership approval may take up to 48 hours, so plan to apply in advance.
  • Financial need is required, so projects fully funded by other sources are ineligible. All pending funding must be disclosed, and applicants must notify GWIS if they accept another award before the fellowship decision.

    Durada
    Applicants may propose research projects for up to 12 months. The period of the award is one academic year (July 1st through June 30th).

    Applicants should submit their applications by following the instructions provided in the Application Checklist and through the Application Portal.
    AVÍS IMPORTANT
    The application must be received on or before the deadline date and time of Monday, January 12, 2026 by 5:00:00 pm Eastern Time. GWIS is not responsible for issues arising from increased website traffic. Applicants are strongly encouraged to begin their applications early and submit them before the deadline to avoid connection problems.
