Objectiu de la convocatòria
Within the framework of its Strategic Plan 2025–2028 and in collaboration with the Hospital del Mar and Parc de Salut Mar, the Hospital del Mar Research Institute (HMRIB) launches the 2025 Clinical Research Intensification Grants.
The aim of this call is to enable clinical professionals with care responsibilities to dedicate a substantial portion of their time to research activities, by providing partial release from clinical duties of up to 50% of their working time.

These grants are intended for clinicians with a stable contractual relationship with the Hospital del Mar or other Parc de Salut Mar centres affiliated with the Institute, who are actively members of a recognized HMRIB research group.
The intensification period must be devoted to the development of research projects approved by the Research Ethics Committee (CEIm) in which the applicant acts as Principal Investigator (PI). Projects with competitive external funding will be positively evaluated.
Requisits
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Hold a stable contractual position at the Hospital del Mar or another Parc de Salut Mar centre affiliated with the Institute.
  • Maintain an active relationship with an HMRIB research group.
  • Act as Principal Investigator (PI) of a project approved by the CEIm.
  • Only one application per research group will be accepted.
    The call is open to all clinical professional profiles, including physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals engaged in biomedical research.

    The total budget for this call is €100,000, funded through HMRIB structural funds. A maximum of two grants will be awarded, each with up to €50,000 to cover the cost of clinical replacement during the intensification period.

    Each application must include the following documents:
  • Research proposal (maximum 1 page) summarizing the project objectives, justification for the intensification, and planned work.
  • Abbreviated CV (maximum 2 pages).
  • Proof of CEIm approval for the research project.
    Incomplete or late submissions will not be accepted.
