Objectiu de la convocatòria
The fellowship is designed for postdocs in all areas of natural and social sciences and engineering who are not only rising stars in their respective fields, but in addition have a vision for realizing their own dreams of reshaping the future of their fields of science, and above all are willing to engage in a dialogue with society on relevant social, cultural, political or economic issues across the frontiers of their particular discipline.

Requisits
  • Applicants must officially hold a PhD by January 15, 2026, meaning they must have successfully defended their doctoral thesis before this date.
  • Applicants must have obtained their doctorate no more than five years before the submission deadline.
  • Applicants who currently hold or have previously held a faculty-equivalent position (e.g., assistant professor or lecturer), with or without tenure or tenure track, or who have permanent research employment, are not eligible.
  • The Fellowship is open to researchers from all disciplines and nationalities, with no restrictions on biological age.
  • The project may be conducted at any academic host institution worldwide. It is not allowed to change the host institution in the first year of the fellowship.

    Documentació
    Applications must be written in English and submitted electronically as PDF files, following an specific naming conventions:
  • Letter of motivation including a statement explaining why your research differs from the mainstream (max. 1 page).
  • Research proposal including an abstract, timelines, tentative milestones and references (max. 5 pages).
  • CV (max. 4 pages).
  • Invitation letter by the prospective mentor, stating the reasons for invitation to the host group and why the research project is supported.
  • Copies of the three best publications (no doctoral theses or books, only peer-reviewed journal articles or individual book chapters).
  • Five reviewer suggestions (to be entered directly in the online application).
  • AVÍS IMPORTANT
    The application portal will close on January 15, 2026, 5 p.m. CET. To avoid server-overload, submit your application at least 1 to 2 days before the deadline.
