Objectiu de la convocatòria
The ERA4Health Partnership aims to strengthen coordination among funding organisations among European funding organisations to promote transnational research that addresses public health needs. Within this framework, the Trials4Health Joint Transnational Call aims to support randomised, multi-country, investigator-initiated clinical studies designed as pragmatic comparative-effectiveness and/or drug repurposing trials, while promoting transnational collaboration among clinical and public health research teams involved in such studies.
Característiques principals
The focus of the multi-country Investigator-Initiated Clinical Studies is on cardiovascular, metabolic, or autoimmune disorders as primary causes of illness. Proposals should demonstrate high public relevance and target at least one of these diseases, or explore their combination with comorbidities.

Studies should be designed as Phase III randomised interventional trials, either pragmatic comparative-effectiveness or drug repurposing. Comparative-effectiveness trials must assess existing, approved healthcare interventions used in European clinical practice—whether pharmacological or non-pharmacological—while drug repurposing trials should investigate new indications for approved off-patent medicines.
