The ERS Mid-Career Gold Medal programme honours researchers in the respiratory area with an excellent track record and the potential for further outstanding developments in the specific fields of the awards. Individuals can apply or be nominated by another person.

ERS Mid-Career Gold Medal in Airway Diseases, Asthma, COPD and Chronic Cough
ERS Mid-Career Gold Medal in Respiratory Infections
ERS Mid-Career Gold Medal in Basic and Translational Sciences
ERS Mid-Career Gold Medal in Sleep-Disordered Breathing
ERS Mid-Career Gold Medal in Thoracic Surgery and Transplantation

Requisits
Applicants of all ethnicities, gender and career trajectories are encouraged to apply.
Applicants are not allowed to apply for multiple awards in the same year.
Applicants must have an active ERS Membership at the time of the application.
Applicants must be active researchers and no older than 50 years at the application deadline (taking into consideration any work hiatus period which will be deducted to calculate the career-age).
Applicants must not be a previous winner of the category they are applying to. Candidates may re-apply but not for the exact same one they were awarded.
Applicants must not be a previous ERS Award winner in the past five years of any of the awards listed under section 10.1.
Applicants must not have received any of the ERS awards or grants listed under section 10.2 in the past three years.
Applicants must not be a member of the ERS Science Council, Executive Committee and Fellowships and Awards Working Group.
