This programme aims to identify outstanding clinical and basic scientists in European diabetes research who are at a critical stage in their careers, support their transition to tenured academic positions, and foster their development into the next generation of leaders in the field.

Requisits
Candidates should have an established track record of excellence and achievement in their chosen area of diabetes research.
Applications can be submitted by scientists and clinicians at an intermediate stage of their careers, who completed their most recent degree within the past 7–12 years (counted up to 1 January of the year in which the grant is awarded). Extensions may be granted in exceptional circumstances.
Applicants must be employed by a university, hospital, or other non-profit research institution in any country within the European region or its associated countries for the duration of the grant, and should provide clear evidence of their intention to pursue an academic career in Europe.
