Objectiu de la convocatòria
This program supports outstanding young scientists worldwide at leading universities and research institutions, providing training in fundamental immunology or cancer immunology. Research must be directly related to immunology or cancer immunology, with projects relevant to addressing cancer.

The application deadlines are March 1 and September 1 annually; when those dates fall on the weekend or holiday, applications are due the following workday. It is strongly recommended to submit as early as possible to allow ample time for completion.
Requisits
  • Applicants must have a doctoral degree by the award start date and conduct research under a sponsor with at least an assistant professor appointment.
  • Applicants should have less than 5 years of mentored research experience at the award start (excluding MD residency); exceptional cases may allow consideration for those who have spent three or more years in the sponsor's lab.
  • Fellowships can be conducted in the U.S. or abroad at a non-profit institution, with no citizenship restrictions.
  • One applicant per sponsor per round, and sponsors may have a maximum of three CRI-supported fellows at any time.
  • Resubmissions are allowed if the application is improved to reflect progress, with changes clearly addressed.

    $74,000, $76,000, and $78,000 stipend in years 1-3.
    $5,000 annual allowance to cover costs such as research supplies, conference travel, health insurance, or childcare.

  • Abstract of research in non-technical English
  • Specific aims of the project
  • Concise research proposal (background, significance, materials and methods)
  • Letters from the sponsor
  • Sponsor curriculum vitae/biosketch and a list of current research support. NIH biosketch is preferred.
  • Two recommendation letters: one from their thesis advisor or an alternative qualified person, and another from someone familiar with their work; the sponsor cannot write either letter
