EASD awards six prestigious prizes each year to recognise excellence in diabetes research.

Característiques principals
Claude Bernard Prize and Lecture: in recognition of an individual's innovative leadership and lifetime achievements in diabetes research.
EASD-NNF Diabetes Prize for Excellence: for outstanding research or technology contributions to the understanding of diabetes, its disease mechanisms or its complications.
Minkowski Prize: for excellent research by early career scientists contributing to the advancement of knowledge concerning diabetes mellitus.
Camillo Golgi Prize: for outstanding contributions in the field of the histopathology, pathogenesis, prevention and treatment of the complications of diabetes mellitus.
Albert Renold Prize: for outstanding achievements in the field of pathophysiology and treatment of diabetes mellitus.
Diabetes Global Impact Prize: for individuals with outstanding contributions in clinical/translational research on diabetes that have had a 'global impact'.

Nominations must be submitted by 12:00 CET on the deadline date.

Requisits
Candidates must be paid-up members of EASD.
Nominators must be paid-up members of EASD.
Candidates can be from any country.
There are no age restrictions except for the Minkowski Prize, for which candidates must be under 45 or have obtained their MD/PhD within the last 15 years. These periods may be adjusted for maternity/paternity leave, part-time work, long-term illness, or other exceptional circumstances with proper documentation.

Documentació
Nominations should be submitted using the available nomination form and sent as a single PDF to [email protected], containing:
One Letter of Recommendation of not more than 1,000 words signed by up to three nominators.
Curriculum vitae of the nominee including a list (without reprints) of ten publications considered to reflect the nominee's most important contributions to the diabetes field, including a short description of how each publication contributes to the understanding or treatment of diabetes.
