Característica
Objectiu de la convocatòria
This grant program supports research on CDKL5 Deficiency Disorder (CDD). Applications should focus on advancing the discovery or development of treatments and/or potential cures.
Característiques principals
Priority will be given to projects that cover the following areas:
  • Novel therapeutic approaches for CDD, including gene and RNA-based therapies, biologics, cell-based therapeutics, small molecules, network modulation, and novel delivery systems.
  • Link between CDKL5 molecular function and disease pathophysiology, using cellular and animal models to assess phenotypic rescue or modulation through pharmacological or genetic/gene therapy interventions.
  • Systems biology and computational modeling approaches to understand CDKL5 function, downstream effectors, signaling pathways, interaction networks, and genetic modifiers.
  • Discovery and validation of CDKL5 biomarkers and clinical outcomes, including molecular, imaging, electrophysiological, and functional biomarkers with translational relevance.
