This program supports initiatives in intensive care medicine across all areas of critical care, including basic, translational, and clinical research, with the aim of contributing to the implementation of new techniques in Europe and fostering international collaboration.

    Requisits
  • Proposals must be multi-centre and multi-national in both participation and focus. LMIC involvement is encouraged.
  • Eligible applicants include physicians, scientists, nurses, and allied health professionals who are under 40 years of age and/or within the first five years of a permanent academic faculty position. Applicants who do not hold a doctorate must be supported by a research supervisor (MD or PhD).
  • Applicants must be members of ESICM at the time of application, and grant recipients are expected to maintain their membership until the completion of their project.
  • Applicants who have previously received an ESICM Grant are also welcome to apply.
  • Each applicant may submit only one project proposal.
  • The award category for each application will be determined by the Jury and cannot be chosen by the applicant.
