Objectiu de la convocatòria
This grant aims to stimulate creative approaches to translate basic research into new treatment options for kidney cancer. Applications are invited from researchers currently in the field as well as investigators with experience in other areas of cancer or biomedical research.
Característiques principals
Research projects can be basic, translational, and/or clinical that examine novel, druggable* targets or biomarkers relevant to kidney cancer.

*For the purposes of this grant program, a "druggable" target is a nucleic acid or protein (e.g., enzyme or receptor) whose activity can be modulated by a drug, including small molecules or biologics such as antibodies or recombinant proteins. The target should have demonstrated relevance to cancer in appropriate in vitro or in vivo models. A cancer-related biomarker can be a protein, nucleic acid, or metabolite measurable in biological samples for diagnosis, monitoring, prognosis, or patient stratification.
