Objectiu de la convocatòria
This program supports independent investigators in conducting innovative research on Tumor Treating Fields, aiming to better understand its mechanisms of action and accelerate the development of new therapeutic strategies to expand cancer treatment options.
Característiques principals
Research proposals must incorporate Inovitro and/or Inovivo systems. If the institution does not have an MTA with Novocure, the company will provide the system. Projects should investigate TTFields as a cancer therapy and may include 1) Basic and translational approaches, promoting the transition of TTFields in vitro work into in vivo systems, 2) Studies that link preclinical and clinical data, or 3) Studies with ability to translate into the clinic for cancer treatment.

Projects focusing on the following areas are encouraged:
  • Key cancer-related signaling and cellular pathways
  • Metabolic effects of TTFields
  • Studies that include Omics data (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics)
  • TTFields immunological aspects and the potential combination with immunotherapy
  • Combinational studies with approved agents (preferably to include mechanistic aspects)

    Requisits
  • Applicants must have a doctoral degree (PhD, MD, MD/PhD, DO or equivalent) in a related field.
  • Applicants must be independent investigators and hold a faculty position at the level of professor, assistant professor, instructor, research assistant professor, or equivalent. If eligibility is based on a future position, it must be confirmed at the time of application and cannot be contingent upon receiving this grant.
  • Applicants must work at an academic, medical, or research institution anywhere in the world.
  • Applicants may not concurrently hold another AACR grant, or be a current or past recipient of another AACR Novocure grant.
  • There are no citizenship or geographic requirements.
  • By the LOI submission deadline, applicants must be AACR Active members in good standing (dues paid for the current year).
