These fellowships support visits to Centers for Clinical or Diagnostic Virology in Europe to acquire specialized or innovative techniques relevant to future clinical or laboratory work.

Applications may be submitted twice annually, with deadlines on 1 June and 1 December. Submissions must be sent to the ESCV Treasurer's Office.
Requisits
  • Applicants must have a basic professional qualification in clinical or diagnostic virology.
  • Applicants must be currently affiliated with a biomedical institution and intend to return to this institution after completing the traineeship.
  • The Head of the host laboratory/department must be a member of ESCV.
  • The proposed training must relate to clinical or diagnostic virology.
  • Preference will be given to applicants requesting a stipend to cover travel or expenses that complement a regular income provided by their current employer. Bench fees (e.g. consumables) will not be funded.
  • The fellowship must be taken up within 18 months of the award.

    Documentació
    Required documentation includes an application form (to be requested from the ESCV Secretariat at [email protected]), a concise and well-justified work plan together with a detailed budget, the name of one referee who is an ESCV member, and an official letter from the host institution confirming acceptance of the applicant for the duration of the training period.
