The European Rare Disease Research Alliance (ERDERA) has released a pre-announcement for its upcoming Joint Transnational Call 2026, “Resolving unsolved cases in rare genetic and non‑genetic diseases through variant validation and new technological approaches”, set to open on 10 December 2025.

The initiative will support research proposals aimed at improving diagnostic clarity in unresolved rare genetic and non-genetic diseases. Structured as a two-stage call, it will require transnational consortia composed of four to six partners from at least four different countries.

A webinar for potential applicants will take place on 16 December 2025 (15:00 – 17:00 CET), offering detailed guidance on eligibility, submission procedures, and funding structure. Registration is free but required in advance.
